Dr. Annie Lamonde, C.Psych.
Dr. Annie Lamonde, C.Psych. is an independently licensed clinical psychologist through the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Lamonde received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa and her Master’s degree in Psychoeducation from the Universtity of Quebec in Hull. Dr. Lamonde has extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems, as well as more recent training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Dr. Lamonde has been in practice for over 13 years and provides comprehensive psychological assessments and treatments for children, youth, parents and families. Dr. Lamonde has an eclectic therapeutic approach which embraces the notion that children do well when they have the skills to do so. Dr. Lamonde works with children and adolescents to help them build the skills sets (emotion regulation, distress tolerance and cognitive restructuring) needed to better cope with the stresses and challenges of growing up. She also assists parents with developing positive discipline skills and communication tools to ease family tension. Dr. Lamonde works with clients struggling with mood (i.e., depression, bipolar illness) and anxiety disorders, adoption/ attachment related concerns, peer relational issues, parent-child difficulties, anger and behavioural issues, trauma, self-harm and suicidality.
